Haircut in China




In Liang Qi, Dong village or southeast DongZhai, the barber use a sickle to give haircuts. The scene looks very horrible and scary. But it is an ancient custom of this village.

Chinese Traditional Eggs - OMG




This curious Chinese delicacy of hard boiled eggs, takes a special ingredient that traditionally, only a boy, preferably under the age of 10, will supply to the recipe.
Every day, buckets of fresh urine are gathered from the schools to boil eggs in to make this much sought after treat. The eggs are first boiled with their shells on in the urine and then with the shells off for about a day and a half. I can't imagine who first come up with this idea, and why, but it so strange.

Traditional Turf Houses In Iceland




The Icelandic turf house was the product of a difficult climate, offering superior insulation compared to buildings solely made of wood or stone, and the relative difficulty in obtaining other construction materials in sufficient quantities.

Due to the lack of transport and Iceland’s remoteness, importing foreign timber was not very common and mostly reserved for ship and church building. However, Iceland did have a large amount of turf that was suitable for construction.
