The girl who grows up in the African wildeness

The pictures are just gorgeous…….riding a 5-ton elephant, whom she called my brother, riding an ostrich, chilling with a cheetah, or hugging an African bull frog, as if it were a teddy bear. The childhood of a French girl Tippe Degre, sounds more like a newer version of Mowgli, rather than something real. A White child, she was born in Namibia to French photographer parents, and grew up in Africa.

Tippi spent her whole childhood playing with wild animals, including lion cubs, a mongoose, a snake, a cheetah, baby zebra, giraffes, and crocodiles. The little girl saw nothing unusual about her company. She said “I don’t have friends here, because I’ve never seen children. So the animals are my friends.” Tippe is now in her twenties, and the only child to wildlife photographer parents Sylvie Roberts and Alain Degre, who published her pictures in a book called Tippe of Africa. It was magical to be free in this nature with this child. “She was a very lucky little girl as she was born and raised until the age of 10 totally in the wild.” Said Sylvie, Tippe’s mother.
See how she looks like in the present day!

Tippe and the little lion cub were inseparable.

Have a childhood playmate out of a docile cheetah

This one is more appropriate – a large-sized kitten,

a lion cub.

Follow me, the leader.

You won’t bite me, will you?

Holding a suitcase of books, going to school?

Guess there isn’t any book there.

Bet you don’t see what’s holding her at her back.

Oh my! You won’t expect the large African frog

will turn into a handsome prince?

It’s first lesson in cosmetic painting.

…………and hunting.

A stunning beauty, she’s no difference from

 a present day modern lady.

Many thanks to Dora Miau for sharing.
